ERP Release Management Specialist

Responsabilities
As the ERP Release Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the update cycles of the Oracle Fusion suite. Your responsibilities include:
Planning of Releases:
- Develop a detailed update schedule with Oracle and key users, considering Oracle Fusion's update cycles.
- Organize regular meetings to discuss upcoming features and updates, ensuring teams are prepared and resources are available.
Coordination with Oracle Team:
- Review Oracle's release notes before each update, identify impacts on existing business processes, and communicate with concerned key users.
- Plan test sessions with key users, ensuring all test cases are covered, including non-regression tests.
Management of Test Environments:
- Ensure test environments are correctly set up before each test cycle.
- Track test progress, results, and report bugs and anomalies to the Oracle team.
Preparation of Releases:
- Compile update notes, including new features, fixes, and specific instructions for end-users.
- Hold a review meeting before deployment to ensure all stakeholders are informed and all features and fixes are tested and validated.
Deployment of Updates:
- Create a deployment plan including switch-over strategy, schedule, and backup procedures.
- Oversee the update execution in production, ensuring all steps of the deployment plan are followed.
Post-Deployment:
- Immediately monitor the production environment for potential regressions or issues.
- Coordinate with the support team to manage incident tickets related to the update and collect end-user feedback to improve future updates.
Documentation and Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure all documentation is updated with new features and procedures.
- Organize feedback sessions to gather insights and improve future update processes.
Life Cycle Management:
- Participate in Global Design Authority meetings.
- Ensure changes related to ERP features are recorded, authorized, and communicated before deployment.
Profile
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- ITIL and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
- Good understanding of DevOps principles (certification is a plus)
- Extensive experience in managing modern ERP systems
- At least 3 years of experience in Release Cycle Management
- Proven track record in overseeing entire software release cycles
- Fluent in French and English (mandatory)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and feedback management skills, coupled with adaptability, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities
